Every morning before the sun comes up, surf photographer Nick Lavecchia goes out into the cold of York, Maine to photograph and post a unique photo under the hashtag #morningcoffee on Instagram. We identified his story as a perfect fit to promote Verizon’s superior network network coverage, as well as the new Samsung S5.

 
 
 

To promote the phone's amazing camera features, we created a series of tutorials to teach people how to take photos on their phones like a professional photographer. All content lived on the landing page for users to follow Nick’s journey. It also featured an interactive map showing the network’s coverage during Nick’s expedition and a digital camera bag highlighting the mobile technology from Verizon that Nick used.

It was an out-of-the-box approach for the brand, but one that proved successful and allowed us to show them the power of storytelling with real people doing amazing things with their products.
