IT'S HARD FOR ME TO SAY NO TO MAKING SOMETHING GOOD

Giving feedback is hard

I wrote, directed and edited this short piece all around the idea that giving honest, direct feedback can be difficult without the right channels.

I worked on this fun little spot with the founders of MaestroQA who needed a introduction video to take to conferences and highlight the importance of their software in the workplace.

“Makossa”

One thing I love about working with M2Collective and Max Reed is that we always end up geeking out on editing, and how the simplest cut can make us swoon. I directed second camera for this project and worked closely on shot selection with Max in the edit room.

One thing I love about working with M2Collective and Max Reed For this video, we worked with some of New York’s top dancers, taking over the streets of the DUMBO neighborhood to capture each dancer’s unique style on a hot Brooklyn night.

This video was as fun to shoot as it is to watch.

Son of a southern chef

I met Lazarus Lynch/Son Of A Southern Chef when I did the Why I Work  campaign for Wells Fargo. We instantly became friends, and fans of each other's work.

When I moved to New York City last summer, Laz called and said he was cooking up a new barbecue video series and could use a hand producing it.

We created seven videos, published on his popular social channels throughout the summer, accompanied by promos, Instagram stories and themed posts throughout. And really good food, too.

HOME

In 2013 I replied to a post on tumblr by a young poet out in Portland,OR looking for a designer to work on some collateral with. The writer was Clementine Von Radics and the answer to that post sparked a partnership that expanded into three poster designs, one book cover as well as other collateral for her independent publishing company,Where Are You? Press.

I know
you and I
are not about poems
or other sentimental bullshit
but I have to tell you
even the way you drink your coffee
knock me the fuck out.
